imported from the Office of Emergency Management Communication tables and extracted data
from the police department tables. Data was manipulated and cleansed to ensure accuracy
of results. This project took slightly over a year.
Processed new recruits into the personnel system. Received a file via disk from a legal
firm and uploaded the data into an empty flat file on the mainframe. Manipulated the data
to coincide with the prescribed organization record fields which included formatting and
resizing the data. Afterward the file was then merged with the organization recruit file,
sorted, and the data was uploaded into the VSAM personnel file. This project was performed
when the need arose.
Investigated and debugged application problems promptly to insure that production jobs were
completed in a timely manner.
