As Associate Principal for GGA I served as the client POC (point of contact) for the 30 million dollar OCC Headquarters Realignment project, managing a team of architects, interior designers, graphic designers and Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) specialist on a variety of OCC projects. My responsibilities included overseeing the production of construction documents in coordination with other design disciplines (MEP engineers, audio visual, acoustical and lighting consultants); construction management, project scheduling, budget tracking, MAC (Moves Adds Changes), interior refinishing, furniture installation coordination, space management and planning, space standards development, contractor pay request approval and conducting weekly project status meetings; developing move migration and phasing plans for 800+ OCC employees and coordinating personnel moves with the OCC’s IT and telecommunications departments.
As Project Coordinator I served as team lead for all project planning, estimating, negotiations, execution and closeout meetings. I implemented the processes to ensure a quick response to all OCC requests and the timely completion of project milestones. I also provided training for in-house staff responsible for the operation and administration of the OCC’s facilities management system used for departmental space planning, move requests and tracking organizational “head counts” nationwide. I was also responsible for preparing building “Test Fit” design and lease analysis for OCC field and district offices and provided regular reports to the OCC’s Director for Real Estate.
