RESPONSBILITIES

• Material Inspection – Inward HR coil inspection (Chemistry and Mechanical Properties.(Y.S, T.S, %Elong. Rockwell, Rockwell cum Superficial, Vickers Hardness tester M/C,ECV Value, roughness tester,

• Process Inspection – Process Control at different stages at 2 HI Skin Pass Mill, CR Slitter and Cut to Length Machines (CTL).

• Visual inspection of the Cold Rolled and Galvanized Steel and Sheets and Performing various tests like coating, cupping value, ultimate tensile strength, yield strength, % elongation, hardness etc. to ensure about the quality of steel sheet as per customer’s requirement and visual Inspection of various types of defects like waviness, buckle, swelling, dents, black spots, flux patches, pitting, pinching, roll in scale, nozzle line, scratches etc. in Galvanized Sheets.

• Understanding customer needs and facilitating R&D to convert customer requirements into engineering specifications.

• Replanning of the low-grade steel coils manufactured with the help of PPC Department.

• Problem diagnosis to improve quality by using statistical techniques likes and SPC.

• Daily assurance of quality in in-house manufacturing using Pareto chart analysis and control charts.

• Handling customer complaints like Samsung, Honda, JBM Auto, Electrolux, Yamaha through analysis and improvements through

Industrial Training: 4 weeks Vocational training in Bokaro Steel Plant (SAIL).

Project Work Done: Review of Corrosion and its prevention.

Worked with TUV SUD South Asia Ltd , in New Delhi Office (A German MNC). It’s a third party inspection and Certification body , Worked as an Engineer From December 2000 To May 2001.
