• Designed and built a 10 kW updraft fixed bed reactor for biomass gasification
• Evaluated the fuel properties such as particle size, proximate analysis, and ultimate analysis
• Conducted biomass gasification experiments and measured the gas emission and liquid-oil yield
• Investigated the effects of moisture content, temperature, and equivalence ratio gas and liquid yield
• Analyzed the experimental data and reported findings to advisor, funding agencies, and technical literature
Torrefaction of rice straw biomass
• Built the torrefaction reactor for rice straw torrefaction experiment
• Conducted torrefaction experiments to test the fuel weight loss behaviors
