Facilities Manager

This role was primarily managing the Electrical/Mechanical and life safety elements of 2 data centre locations in London Ontario.

Responsibilities: ( Same as below )

Critical system inventory, day-to-day maintenance, operations

All shutdowns (scheduled and unscheduled)

Monitoring of hydro utility use, updating drawings, calculating and approving hydro utility additions

Update procedures to address changes, upgrades or additions in critical support equipment

Review Operating Procedures for electrical and mechanical equipment/systems

Review and monitor the Preventive Maintenance Programs

Provide advice and insight on all related Projects

Maintain Emergency procedures and training of all Building Personnel

FUSEPOINT MANAGED SERVICES INC. (March 2005 – April 2008)

Facilities Engineer/Technician

This role was primarily managing the Electrical/Mechanical elements of Fusepoint’s Mississauga and Vancouver Data Centre facilities.

Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks relating to the electrical and mechanical systems that support the Bank’s critical computer systems.

Conduct and record daily operating checks of all systems critical to the efficient operation of the building.

Participate in a 24-hour emergency callback service on a scheduled rotation basis.

Develop an in-depth knowledge of all building systems including: HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, UPS, diesel generator and building automation.
