EXPERIENCE:

I.T. Manager September 2008 - Present

Hull & Company / National Risk Solutions Dallas TX

• VMware view 4.6/5.0 engineer/administrator. I have deployed VMware view on five different networks within our parent company of Brown and Brown. I designed the infrastructure, setup the SAN and servers, built Windows 7 enterprise images and deployed to multiple offices. I have experience with the Dell M1000e Blade chassis and HP C7000 Blade Chassis.

• I worked on a team with two other engineers to design and deploy two datacenters. Each datacenter consisted of multiple blade chassis, EMC and Equallogic Sans, and cisco switches for hardware and VMware vSphere 4.1/5.0 enterprise plus. I setup san replication between the datacenters for data replication and VMware SRM for disaster recovery failover. ON this vSphere platform we hosted multiple domains, sql clusters, Exchange clusters, and VMware view hosts. This is now the Hull & Company centralized cloud infrastructure.

• As a systems engineer supporting Active Directory, exchange 2003, Symantec AV and Backup Exec, Document Imaging, Remote Desktop Services, Dell hardware, EMC San, as well as various other applications. My daily tasks ranged from password resets to assisting level 1 and 2 with escalations and training.

• As the Sr. engineer with Hull & Company, my day to day operations consisted of tier 3 support, monitoring of network and system health along with coordinating with other engineers for rollouts, updates, and maintenance tasks. After performing due diligence I was able to lobby our CIO and COO to invest in virtualization and move our Local server room to redundant offsite datacenters. The end result was a fully redundant solution that satisfied all aspects of the requested disaster recovery requirements.

• My next position I was promoted to Manager of I.T. for National Risk Solutions and Sigma Underwriting, subsidiaries of Brown and Brown. As the Manager of Information Technology I was tasked with decentralizing the whole technical operation away from the parent company. The end solution was that I brought in our own Network connectivity, purchased all new hardware/software and provided training to our end users.

• I currently hold the role as I.T. Manager as well as performing Sr. Systems engineering/VMware engineer in addition I have accepted additional rolls within Corporate Brown and Brown as Project manager \ VMware \ Storage engineer for new acquisitions. The tasks I am taking include doing due diligence, proposals for needed hardware/software and coordinating with vendor's and other I.T. staff for integration of multiple offices into current operations.

Consultant/Project Manager January 2007 to September 2008

• While at Vaco I was an onsite consultant at RG crown/fifth-third bank. The project’s I was tasked with were getting the company’s I.T. department up to regulatory standards for passing banking regulations to complete the merger with fifth-third bank.

• In preparation for meeting the regulatory standards we assisted the I.T. steering committee with the regulations that needed to be met while setting a timeline, budget, and selecting personal for each project.

• The first project we started with the virtualization of the datacenter in the home office. Once virtualized, we replicated all VM’s to additional hardware and moved that hardware to the new disaster recovery datacenter for redundancy.

• The next project our team took on was the build of a network access, monitoring, and health platform. We went with Cisco clean access for the network security, and built out Microsoft operations manager for monitoring and health.
