RE: Marketing Analyst
As a former Sales Competition recipient from the College of Business and Information Science at Tuskegee University, I have an intense passion for providing excellent customer service. I enjoy communicating with customers, to see what I can do to fulfill and exceed expectations. As a former key holder, sales associate, team member and customer service manager, I have had the valuable opportunity to interact with customers, employees, managers as well as general managers. As a result, I have become comfortable working with those directly responsible for authorizing a sale of customer service, the “people side” of sales, and the importance of establishing professional and business to business relationships that stress commitment to service and a willingness to stand behind the product. As an example, I have often demonstrated to a customer’s the advantages of a product and given personal testimonies from that product. For those times, when I felt as if I was losing the customer, I invited a third party whom I thought would be essential in gaining the customer commitment. These and other experiences have taught me that the results of these efforts may not be immediately apparent, but they are worthwhile.
Consider by former bosses, instructors and family members as the most determined individual. I completed high school in three years. At the age of 16, I enrolled in Tuskegee University. By 20 years old, I had obtained a Bachelor of Science in Sales and Marketing. Through the course of those years, I had the opportunity of serving as an associate, team leader, key holder and manager of well respected companies. I have received over 5 scholarships based upon my performance in as well as out of the classroom. A very team oriented individual, 3 other classmates and I raised $5,000 over the course of June –July 2011 for a non -profit organization known as One Million Soles for Haiti.
I know the importance of personal challenge and growth. I am looking to extend my talents to other markets with a dynamic company that provides opportunities to advance in sales, management, and/or marketing.
I believe that my job as an employee is to maximize the variables that I can control such as enthusiasm, careful preparation, empathy for the customer, effective and efficient organization and perhaps most important, the will to persevere until a task is successful completed. I know that these attributes, when combined with a viable product line will provide the best opportunity for creating and sustaining long-term business relationships, I am looking forward to the opportunity to help foster these productive relationships!
As an employee, I will develop strategic plans to support company goals and growth objectives. I will provide analytical support to challenge merchants to maximize business opportunities and minimize risk.
I am available to work immediately. I have 6+ years in selling products and service, proven track record of meeting sales goals and a strong client list/key contacts. I expect to make around 40,000-50,000 annually.
Sincerely,
La Vada Shakiri Baker
