Professional Experience

A. From August’ 08 – Till date

As an Assistant Manager-Extrusion for PepsiCo India Holdings Pvt. Ltd, Frito Lay Division, R&D Centre, Gurgaon.

Work Profile:

1. Responsible for festive launches of extruded products for east and west regions taking inspiration from local cuisines, meeting target consumer scores and delivering planned volumes.

2. Lead core productivity initiatives for extruded products targeting parity consumer scores versus control.

3. Lead texture analysis for new products to feed data for product development, competition products for bench marking and market samples for quality compliance.

4. Lead RVA analysis of raw materials - rice, corn and gram meal used in extruded products to understand the effect on run ability

5. Responsible for proactively building product innovation pipeline for the extruded category.

6. Support quality compliance and manufacturing of design of extruded product for periodic review.

7. Lead NPD projects for traditional extruded products through consumer research/insights driven development leading to target consumer scores and delivery of planned variant volumes.

8. Lead productivity initiatives for traditional extruded products along with cross functional teams by re-engineering product formulation.

9. Responsible for product design improvement feeding into the quality of products balancing the consumer likeability, alienation factor and higher volume delivery simultaneously.

10. Responsible for evaluation of new sites and thereafter validation of current traditional extruded products ensuring replication of product design

11. Co-ordinate with new production sites to deliver new regional traditional extruded products to counter competition ensuring quality compliance.

12. Responsible for designing shelf life studies for new products for extruded category

14. Support consumer research team for methodologies, result interpretation and correlating data to development.

15. Support seasoning development for new products by meeting action standards of cost and consumer research scores and delivery of annual operating plan volumes.

As a Junior Research Associate for ITC Foods, R&D Centre at Bangalore.

1. Analysis of various confections - Hard Boiled Candy, Éclairs, Deposits & Lozenges for different Physical, Chemical & Organoleptic quality parameters.

2. Rating of the confectionery production units in terms of quality as a part of Product Quality Rating System for competitors and ITC’s confections in various parameters.

3. Conduct Reproducibility & repeatability study to find instrument variation & appraiser variation.

4. Involved in Analysis & Method Validation of new products (Chewing gum & Lacto).

5. Provide technical support from Quality during trials of new products.
