Duties ranged from general machine maintenance to engineering upgrades to the process equipment. The photo mask processing equipment included automated wet benches, Chrome sputtering tools, laser inspection and profiling, photo resist dispense and other automated processing tools. A large part of the position was collecting and analyzing machine and process data to identify problems or potential for problems that would affect product yield or the equipment up time. I wrote and updated PM procedures. This was all in a 24/7 "any down time is unacceptable" environment. Being on call and emergency call-ins for repairs was also responsibilities of the position.
2/2002 - 3/2002 Manufacturing/Engineering Consultant Ultronix Inc. Hatfield, PA
Contracted to build and document prototype machinery to remove contaminants from large-scale communication cables. The main duty of this position was to analyze the project and develop a procedure that would reduce the amount of time to build the machines while maximizing quality. Once the procedure was in placed I was able to reduce the build time from 300+ hours to 60 hours per unit with an increase in quality. All work was done in a self-managed environment.
11/1997 - 1/2002 Senior Build/Test Technician Automated Systems Developers Group, Poughkeepsie, NY
Duties included: The building, testing and troubleshooting of automated machinery and electrical controls for a variety of industries. The machinery assembled was comprised of mechanical and electrical assemblies as well as pneumatics and fluid systems. I provided engineering support to solve design problems with prototype equipment. I Organized and lead project teams. I trained new workers and traveled for some field installations.
6/1996 - 9/1996 Electronic Test Technician EDO / Barnes Engineering Shelton, CT
Contracted to build, maintain and utilize test equipment for triangulation sensors, for use on satellites. Main duty was to maintain, troubleshoot and repair the test equipment. Documentation and data acquisition was required. All phases of the manufacturing and testing were done in a clean room environment.

I was contracted by the R&D dept. to build two fully automated test stations for a new manufacturing facility. Responsibilities of the position included the reverse engineering of existing stations, then designing, building, testing, trouble shooting, and documenting the new stations. All work was done in a self-managed environment. The schematics I generated using Orcad design software.
