Job Responsibilities: Currently engaged with the ongoing expansion project of 650 TPD Pulp production which is supposed to be completed by the end of 2012.
Involvement mainly includes:
• Technical comparison of the Equipments supplied by different suppliers and comparative formulation
• Optimizing the consumption of Utilities and Chemicals to be used in the process
• Minimizing the Fresh Water consumption to be used in process by making water balance for the
Whole Mill taking recycling practice into consideration
• Verification of Drawings/documents like PID, Civil, Schematic etc.submitted by vendors
• Optimization of energy consumption in the process and maximizing Heat energy recovery
• Reviewing safety Related features to be brought into practice for the Plant
• Project Schedule and Document delivery record maintenance

Internship (May 2009 – July 2009)
Organization: Howard College Campus, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban (South Africa)
Project Title: Vapor-Liquid Phase Equilibrium Measurement of Binary System
Description: The project dealt with the vapour-liquid phase equilibrium(VLE) measurement of three Binary Systems-(I. Ethanol + Cyclohexane II.Hexanoic Acid + Heptanoic Acid III.1-Butanol + NMP)at different Low Pressures. The project was supposed to test the equipment(VLE Glass Still) and then to get the experimental data of different binary systems as mentioned above. The determination of the concentration of the two components in the Liquid and the Vapor phases was based on the Gas Chromatography Separation concept. The collected data was plotted indicating Temperature Vs. Mole Fraction the two components. The data is supposed to be published in the Journal after the approval.
B.Tech dissertation Project (August 2009-December 2009)

Project Title: Cost Optimization of a Bleaching Sequence (ODEDE) in obtaining 80%ISO Brightness applied on
Wheat Straw Pulp having a fixed initial Kappa No.
Description: The aim of the project was to optimize the cost of ODEDE bleaching sequence applied on wheat straw pulp by developing a mathematical model. The first step was to define the cost variable as a function of Chemical dose, Temperature Ph and % OD pulp for each bleaching stage. And then using Linear Programming technique the Cp was minimized to get the optimum cost in order to get the desired brightness (80% ISO).
