• Conduct client assessments to include life skills attainment, life skills assessment and career exploration

• Monitor the progress of clients and family members throughout the quest for self-reliance to ensure that goals that are set forth in the Family Plan are being met

• Meet with clients as needed to provide support and ensure compliance with their goals

• Maintain case records and files written and electronically for documentation and auditing purposes as required by agency policy in a confidential, timely and accurate manner

• Document client work participation activities in agency designated to other services. Establish regular communication with the FI Eligibility Worker to ensure proper case documentation.

• Prepare reports as requested by the supervisor or otherwise required and observe and enforce program policies and practices. Refer clients to other services including: (but not limited to) childcare, job placement, educational facilities, and any necessary intervention services.

• Teach life skills and character education courses to clients to prepare them for everyday life challenges

• Participate in training and supervisory or staff meetings as required

• Interpret social service programs to clients, general public and to the community as needed

• Perform Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as needed
