Working as a team member I was involved in the configuration required for Archiving using transaction code SARA, Archiving of SAP Data by executing storage jobs and also creation of Deletion jobs for deleting records from SAP database after the data has been saved in content repositories.
I was involved in constant interaction with the Business analysts and end users.
I was involved in modification of custom reports to make them archive enabled. This will help the custom reports to extract archived data.

Some of my hands-on responsibilities included:
Development of enhancement objects.
I had to use a lot of ABAP OOP's coding to fetch data from the infotypes, clusters, payroll directory in addition to the MACROS as is required in ECC 6.0.
I was involved in the creation of a number of interfaces, reports etc. The reports/interfaces were related to payroll, benefits, time management, Org Management and personnel.
I was also involved in the creation of custom infotypes, dialog programming and updation of SAP database through call transaction
I was involved also involved in some of the functional activities like creation/configuration of action types and reason codes, employee groups, employee subgroups, payroll areas, personnel area, personnel subarea, wage types. by going through the transaction code SPRO in the development and test servers as many of these items were missing. I was also involved in the test data creation in the database by way of the Hiring action performed through PA40.
Using the outbound ALE exit in the user exit RHALE001 for transferring TIME and other related data for infotypes.
Used the Message Type HRMD_A to transfer SAP HR Master data
Involved in the customization and configuration of the check printing program. Used the form F110_PRENUM_CHCK.
Implemented WebDynpro Application and deployed them on SAP Web Application Server 6.4 as part of the NetWeaver Stack

Unicode Upgrade project at TYCO Electronics

TYCO Electronics had implemented SAP modules like HR, SD, and FI in the company sometimes back. The organization till recently was working on version 4.6C. Since the latest versions of SAP are all Unicode compliant so TYCO upgraded its technical objects.
Being a part of the Unicode Upgrade team my responsibilities included:
Receiving the list of technical objects to be upgraded. This included the reports and interfaces.
Selecting the Unicode checkbox in the attributes of the objects and checking for syntax errors and rectifying the same.
The client had provided us a custom tool to check if particular object/objects were Unicode compliant.
Transferring the list of programs to the Unicode compliant system and rechecking the code. If there are any errors rectify the same.
Client Feedback: The client has been successful in its stated objective of making its SAP implementation Unicode compliant which will help it with future SAP projects.

The project involved transfer of data from MACOM SAP server to TYCO server.
As a senior HR ABAP consultant I had to go to the onsite client location in Harrisburg (PA) in the US and am responsible for gathering the requirements from the client, create a team at the offshore, distribute the work among team members, constant client interaction, review the quality of the objects before they are delivered to the client and also finalizing the schedules of the deliverables.

This resulted in business worth half a million dollars for us in the first year.
