Software Engineer
DuPont is a manufacturing giant offering a wide range of innovative products and services. SAP was implemented in DuPont to manage the overall business processes and functionalities of the organization.
SAP Basis responsibilities:
• Installation and configuration of SAP 4.6B
• Daily maintenance of SAP R/3 systems.
• Implementing Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) – Data Archiving functionality; providing backup and data protection, disaster recovery, archiving and long term retention, data replication and deletion.
• Managing processes and policies pertaining to data storage, archival and retrieval
• Create, manage, monitor and schedule batch jobs for archiving, deleting and storing data.
• Customize the data archiving objects (AOBJ).
• Managing the IXOS Server ( Storage interface between SAP Application and external components like jukebox)
• Migration of archived data from IXOS Server over DuPont network to the new Archive Server.
