Saved the company over $500k by running analysis for drop-ship vs. DC comparison. Defined and implemented business rules for invoices to be reviewed. Created reports to track annual spend (budget), business trends, and cost savings in small package shipping. Developed metrics to identify issues and track improvements in the shipping process. Created and maintained MS Access databases to manage balance dues from vendors and small package carriers. Oversaw natural rubber inventory levels for the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. Gathered volume data from persons at port-of-entry and associates overseas. Identified and eliminated issues in the inventory process as necessary. Filed claims with producers for damaged product. Responsible for shipping over 300 million pounds of rubber per year from the US ports to the Goodyear plants. Assisted in improving cash flow through lean manufacturing, primarily with switch to container shipments and lower inventory levels. Created SOP for the handling/process of managing Goodyear’s natural rubber inventory for Exel associates. Produced weekly metrics for management to evaluate efficiency and accuracy in the process. Audited bills and storage charges from the ports. Prepared end of month inventory reports for Goodyear accounting and management.
