Ko-Cho (Assistant Manager): Kaizen Department

This position was created to do continuous improvements in all departments. The duties included basic process evaluation and team member requests for improvements to time studies for process improvement and complete line moves. Create new positions that do specialty high level activities that require either education or experience in electronics to rebuild tester and function jigs. The positions were trained by me or an electronics engineer.

Aisin Electronics of Illinois, Marion IL (June 2008 to January 2010)

Ko-Cho (Assistant Manager): Manager of first shift manufacturing. My responsibilities consisted of coordinating manufacturing staff and hourly team members in manufacturing of Electronic Control Units for the automotive industry. I worked with other departments to coordinate new production trials, machine improvements, maintenance activities and department reorganization and setups. I supported daily, weekly, and monthly meetings of in-house issues and customer complaints. I participated in an annual global QC Circles event, QA network activity, and coordinated all training for new manufacturing employees and continuous training for all employees including managers and staff.

Champion of the QA Network:

Member of the initial team of Engineers and Mangers tasked with creating the QA Network document including grading of all nonconforming conditions. I was privileged to be given total control of the document including updating and grading machine countermeasures.

QC Circles Trainer and Coordinator:

I participated in QC Circles by coordinating teams, schedules, and training of all AISIN employees in the problem solving activity. I assisted with other teams to make sure all team members had a voice in the activity and new teams stayed on track with the principles of the activity. I also supported any QC Circle team in the surface mount department with advice and answered any technical questions.

Supervisor: I supervised the surface mount electronics department and managed rework training and quality control checks for nonconforming parts. My responsibilities consisted of setting production schedules, managed ECI changes, and coordinated documentation for the mounting department to meet all Aisin standards. In addition, I also coordinated new product launches for the mounting department, lead QA network improvement processes, cross functional Kaizen teams, and QC Circles teams. I was an initial member in the startup of the AEIL manufacturing facilities and documentation including all standard work instructions, ISO9001, and TS16949 documentation and certification.

Newell-Rubbermaid, Jackson MO (May 2003 to May 2005)

Machine Operator: I maintained, operated, and set-up a Kessman IMA, Homage, and SIMA banding machines, along with a Nottmeyer Drill combination for cabinet doors and shelves for Rubbermaid closet organizers. I also worked with labelers and up-stacker at the end of the pack line. I supervised 4-6 feed staff and packers that work with the machines depending on which machine or product that was produced. I also coordinated with the lead to control the machines output to meet quality and efficiency set by the company. In addition, I was involved

in a 6-Sigma team for improved efficiency and team training.

Bean Properties, LTP, Cape Girardeau, MO. (February 1996 to May 2003)

Maintenance: I performed general maintenance for a 280 unit apartment complex, Scott City Texaco, and Dairy Queen West, and some general office duties. I worked part-time during college session and full-time during the summer and breaks.
