Managed sales force of six professionals and representatives combined, handled the expansion of global sales, and initiated the concept and launched successful company web site and marketing campaign attracting 9,000+ hits per month; established supplier network from South Africa, Spain, Germany, Australia, and Taiwan.
Secured the account to liquidate one of the largest wheel manufacturing plants in North America and liquidated 15 other wheel plants in Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, and England; proposed concepts and comprehensive plans for numerous manufacturing wheel plants in Mexico, Thailand, Bahrain, UAE, Armenia, and Venezuela.

Managed manufacturing plant consisting of 120+ employees, held responsibility for P&L management, engineering services, manufacturing operations, quality assurance, staff management, production control, environmental affairs, purchasing, and accounting procedures.
Performed company reorganization turnaround efforts to revitalize sales and reduce excessive cost, as company was rapidly losing money and waste/scrap was at 29%. During tenure, decreased waste/scrap from 13.68% year-to-date and down to 10%. Improved productivity 20%, reduced personnel by 40%, and successfully reduced product deliveries timelines from 6-8 weeks to 14-21 days.
Recovered major contracts during reorganization process by reducing product development cycles, shortening original product delivery timelines, and improving overall quality of products; reduced customer returns to less than 0.90%, within 12 months time.
Instituted effective performance metrics and simple systems to improve and ensure proper quality standards, production scheduling, and product deliveries; established cost accounting practices and adjusted product rates. $60 M / 250,000 sq. ft. aluminum alloy wheel manufacturing plan; supplied to GM, Ford, Chrysler, Isuzu, Nissan, and Mazda.
Provided command over plant manufacturing operations including regular plant and equipment maintenance, facilities engineering, preventive maintenance procedures, resource planning, and environmental affairs. Managed crew of 28 maintenance employees and four engineers; instituted service-organization system, identified critical equipment, and improved the preventive maintenance program throughout the entire facility. Provided leadership on the GM wheel project; directed seven engineers and managers to reduce the waste/scrap from 16% to 12%, within four month time frame.

American Racing Manufactures, Querétaro, México 1993-1995
Start-up manufacturing plant of aluminum alloy wheels for OEM in Mexico. Initial capital investment of $7.7M; imported $5M of capital equipment from the USA and Taiwan.
Spearheaded the conception and building of 50,000 sq. ft. manufacturing plant designed to produce 1,100 wheels per day; selected site location and obtained federal and state government operating permits. Negotiated plant lease agreement, managed construction project, recruited/hired/ trained staff, settled collective bargaining agreement, purchased/imported/installed equipment, and coordinated legal dealings of three companies: manufacturing, marketing, and the holding company.
Structured plant operations utilizing lean manufacturing principles and used targeted selection methods to hire 110 plant personnel; worked closely with CTM, Mexican union, to organize successful workforce contract.
