• Responsible for design, deployment, management and support of Aviat Networks network infrastructure worldwide. Lead engineer for engaging new Verizon MPLS circuit additions/activations and changes. This includes integrating internal company requirements as well as those third party logistics and contract manufacturing sites.

• Responsible for local area network (LAN) equipment upgrades and new LAN designs due to site changes. This includes deployment, maintenance and configuration support.

• Lead engineer/administrator for Wireless LAN.

• Responsible for data security and all company wide firewall maintenance, support and administration.

• Responsible for managing overall assignment and distribution of network address space (public and private). Managed global DHCP services.

• Responsible for low cost alternatives solutions on smaller office locations and SOHO based sites for corporate intranet connectivity by utilizing IPSec VPN via local broadband Internet circuits.

RECENT MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT

Aviat Network Corporate Headquarters facility move

1. Provided on-site support for infrastructure and data center move to the new location.

2. Redesigned corporate production network and engineering lab environment with a dedicated firewall between the two functions. This is in the effort to segment engineering lab operations from any potential performance impact to the corporate network due to engineering lab activities.

3. Introduce new core and access switches for improved performance as well as redesigned network address space to meet growing needs.

Montreal Facility Move Project

Singlehandedly moved the Montreal facility to a new location, with my primary responsibility (but not restricted to) for all IS requirement in the new facility and eliminate services at the old facility. This involved the following.

1. Implementation of Avaya PABX system (Voice over IP) supporting employees in the office facility as well as those that will be working from home.

2. Implementation of new LAN/WAN infrastructure both for the office and home based employees.

3. Reduction of local servers by consolidation and move of computer room to new location.

4. Elimination of unused assets and redeployment of newer assets to current employee base.

5. Tear down of old facility.

SOHO employees working out of various locations in the USA.

1. Provisioning of standard Internet Broadband connectivity to all home based employees (SOHO).

2. Build out of enterprise PABX system to host VOIP client (hardphones/softphones).

3. Deployed enterprise VPN/Firewall at corporate location to provide VPN connectivity to desktops and VOIP phones located at employee residence.

Internationals and Domestic sites Wan migration including 3PL and CM sites

1. Lead engineer to migrate sites to Verizon circuits and to smaller sites using IPSec VPN via local Internet broadband.

2. Provided connectivity and securely segmented traffic from third-party logistics and contract manufacturing site to corporate networks using firewall rules and Verizon MPLS vpn connectivity segregation.

Standardize Corporate Wireless Infrastructure to a more secure environment and adherence to industry standards.

1. Recommended Cisco SWAN wireless solution using ACS, WLSE and Windows based radius authentication (IAS/NPS).

2. Deployed Aironet wireless access points (autonomous) with WDS services enabled, multiple SSID under different Vlans for security control, depending on access requirements (ie. Guest SSID for Internet access only, Contractual SSID to provide required Intranet access and Corporate employee SSID to provide full Intranet access.

3. Provision for backup SSID using standard WPA shared key to be used as backup access in case of infrastructure total failure.

4. Worked with Active Directory domain administrator to push out the required client changes using GPO.
