My first two years at union carbide I was on the maintenance team. Plant wide responsibilities for boilers, pumps, air compressors (reciprocating and screws) all steam traps and piping (steam, condensate). Whms training, cpr, and computer training.

In 1995 using excel I designed a program to track boiler room utilities and efficiencies, and Plant wide natural gas usages.

1999 – 2001 Owner/Operator of The Regal Beagle Pub Fonthill

With no restaurant or pub experience I quickly found out

That running a restaurant/pub with a staff of 14 people

This establishment for 2 years.

2001 – 2007 Cadbury Schweppes America Beverages

2nd Class Stationary Engineer. First three years

Preventive maintenance and shift relief.

Responsibilities for 3 steam boilers, feed pumps, air

Compressors ( recip.and screws) 850 ton ammonia

System including 9 frick ammonia compressors, 3 rooftop

Condensers, 4 chillers, and 13 evaporators. Last 3 years

I’ve been a shift operator. Cadbury has Recently

Announced the closure of its St. Catharines Plant.

2007 – Present

CanGro Foods Inc. 2nd Class Chief Operating Engineer. Responsibilities Included 2 boilers (watertube and firetube) 3 screw air compressors, steam and air plant wide. Also responsible for waster water treatment at irrigation ponds. Including high pressure spraying for filtering through vegetation and procuring samples for testing to ensure proper parameters for residues (meeting ministry of environment requirements) to release to 4 mile creek.

I was also responsible for two cold storage buildings 1 on site 1 off site

Both were Freon with a split between hot water defrost and hot gas defrost.

Using a maintenance program (cworks) I set up work orders and purchase requests. Plant wide responsibilities included fire system monitoring and testing. Testing Backflow preventers.
