Objective: To acquire a job in the massage therapy field. To assist patients by increasing circulation of blood, lymph, and other fluids. Increasing range of motion in patient’s joints, increasing the parasympathetic nervous system, decreasing hypertonicity of muscles, increasing relaxation hormones and endorphins. Use of rehabilitation techniques for injured, stressed, or hypertonic muscles. To decrease trigger points and decrease pain. All of this while also moisturizing the skin and removing dead skin.

On-The-Job-Experience: Student massage clinic within the college. It was supervised by New York State Licensed massage therapists. Students worked on the public during their last two trimesters of college. In order to graduate students have to complete Clinic 1 and Clinic 2 with a pathology assessment of a patient including a paper at the end of the term.
Intuitions Day Spa and Salon: December 2008- present. Massage Therapist. I worked on clients to recover from injuries, increase their range of motion, decrease hypertension in muscles, remove trigger points, increase circulation, decrease daily pain and increase the parasympathetic nervous system.
Work Experience: Cashier/Guest Services/Human Resources/Overnight Stock: at Target Stores, 2002-2006. Assisted customers, returned items, payroll, phone operator, scheduler, office filer, stocked items.
Bank Teller: at Teachers Federal Credit Union, 2006-2008. Helped bank members transfer, deposit, and withdraw money, make payments on loans, mortgages, and home equities, manage IRA payments and organize their investments and finances.
Interests: sports, music, massage therapy, yoga, tai chi, organic and healthy alternatives.
