When remote troubleshooting was unable to resolve the issue, I would dispatch my technician in the field to the site to be my “hands and eyes” onsite. I would work hand in hand with the Field Technician instructing him/her on how to resolve the issue the site was having. I was able to use my customer service skills to walk any technician, no matter what skill set they had, and resolve all issues in a timely manner.

Another aspect of my position with US InfoComm was to build the network and voice system for new PetsMart stores. This would include: Building, Configuring and completing a Quality Control on new store systems (Cisco 2811 router, Cisco 3560 switch, Cisco 1131 access points), documenting the installation process for our technicians in the field and assisting the installation technicians in the field while they installed the equipment. Once completed, I would work with the field technician to perform a “Test and Turn Up” which would energize the system, activate the T1 and perform an entire system test of voice and data. While performing the Test and Turn Up, any issues had to be documented and I had to follow up to confirm all issues are resolved before a specified date given to me by PetsMart. I completed this process approximately 300 times while at US InfoComm.

The final aspect of my position with US InfoComm was working on numerous projects as a lead technician. I assisted in the successful completion of numerous projects for PetsMart. The projects I had a leading role in were: PetsMart upgrade from a 256K circuit to a MPLS circuit to approximately 600 stores, completed the data encryption project by swapping out their old Pin Pads with new ones that ran through the network to approximately 500 stores, moved all PetsMart data and voice equipment into a 7’ locking cabinet and instructed the field technician on how to complete this process in a timely manner.
