Gynecological procedures

Large Animals

 Artificial Insemination work at Veterinary Hospital in Cow and Buffalo

 Management of delayed ovulators

 Treatment of Endometritis cases

 Pregnancy Diagnosis by Rectal Palpation method (up to 45 to 50 days pregnancy and above) as well as Ultrasonography (as early as 29 days)

 Care of the animal during pregnancy

 Management of Dystokia in Cow and Buffalo

 Attending normal parturition

 Calf care immediately after calving and animal care immediately after calving

 Keeping record of above mentioned procedures

 Caesarean Section in Cow, Buffalo, Goat etc as and when indicated

Small Animals (Pets)

 Preparation of vaginal smear slides of bitches and examination there-off for determination of exact time of mating in dogs

 Ovario-hystrectomy in Bitches so as to avoid spotting in pet bitches

Surgical procedures

Large Animals

 Treatment of abscesses, treatment of open wounds, treatment of maggot wounds etc. in Cow, Buffalo and Equines

 Castration of Cow bulls by Burdizzo Castrator, castration by surgical method in Equines

 Removal of small skin tumors

 Tail Docking as in cases of tail gangrene

 Passing of Probang in ruminants

 Performing of Medial Patellar Desmotomy in cases of upward fixation of patella in Bovines

 Other surgical procedures like Stenchen’s Duct Ligation

 Disbudding in calves by electric disbudder

 Emergency Procedures like Rumenotomy as and when indicated

Small Animals

 Above mentioned procedures as mentioned in large animals which are applicable in small animals also

 Castration in Dogs

 Ovario-hystrectomy in Bitches

 Removal of small skin tumors

 Tail Docking

 Including pre-anesthetic evaluation, administration of anesthesia, endotracheal intubation etc.

Medicine

 Treatment of small as well as large animals clinically

 Collection of blood samples and evaluation there-off for hematology

 Placing of i/v canula in small as well as large animals

 Skin scrapping examination in small as well as large animals

 Fecal sample examination for small as well as large animals for finding eggs of parasites

 Rumen liquor examination for protozoal motility, ph and ruminal movement in ruminants as a part of diagnosis

 Administration of medicines as a part of treatment

 Dipping of small animals, drenching of large as well as small animals, deworming with suitable anthelmentics after fecal examination

 Recording of clinical parameters like temperature, respiration rate, ruminal motility, other clinical examinations like percussion, palpation etc.

 Extension regarding scientific methods of rearing farm animals and drawing benefits from them

 Controlling and administrating the subordinate staff

 Organization of Sexual Health Camps in field areas
