Exceptional Education Instructor
• By request from school’s office manager, I took over an Exceptional Education room. I created lesson plans in this classroom of at-risk students where behavioral issues were a primary concern. A rewards system I put in place drastically cut down the number of referrals to the office for disciplinary issues. Before I took on this job, substitute teachers were resigning one after the other. I promised the students that I wasn’t going anywhere for the rest of the school year, to give them much-needed consistency.
