PROFESSIONAL OVERVIEW
Profile Headline: Experienced mechanical design engineer seeking new opportunity.
Career Objective: Develop innovative, game-changing technological products for consumer and industrial use.
Snapshot of Experience: Mechanical design engineer with 5 years experience at a variety of manufacturing and R&D companies. Completed Graphic Communications Minor at NC State University – a challenging program that focuses on all aspects of the product design and documentation process using SolidWorks and supporting software. My exposure to a wide variety of industries as a mechanical designer has kept my eyes open to multiple solutions to the same engineering problem. I approach an engineering project with the attitude that the solution is already available, but an innovation is what we want to achieve. Therefore, I strive to use a multi-disciplined approach to create a robust, innovative, yet cost-effective solution to complex challenges. I value high levels of organization and flexibility to optimize workflow and quick, concise communication to maintain or exceed project milestones.
WORK HISTORY
Becton-Dickson Technologies (BDT) – Biosense Group
July 2012 – Present Mechanical Design Engineer RTP, NC
Hired as a contractor to support TB Diagnostics program - The goal of the BDT TB Diagnostics program is to develop cost-effective, rapid and easy to use in-vitro TB diagnostics that enable faster diagnosis and more effective treatment of TB and other diseases most prevalent in the developing world (Malaria and HIV/AIDS).
Protochips Inc.
