I have enjoyed a career as a workers’ compensation claim professional for almost 15 years now and I am actively pursuing a career change in a management role. I am currently employed with PMA Companies as a Senior Claims Account Representative since February 2012. Previously, I worked at Travelers Insurance since May of 1993 as a Critical Claims Specialist managing the high exposure catastrophic claims involving traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries like paraplegia and quadriplegia, severe burn injuries, amputations, multiple extremity fractures, etc.

Through work experience and continuing educational opportunities, I have acquired extensive knowledge of management of workers’ compensation claims over the years, including how to be cost-efficient in managing the whole claim. I am also rich in leadership, problem-solving, and decision making skills and implementing aggressive tactics to bring claims to resolution and I have been touted as a top performer with all employers because I am very detailed, goal-oriented, a motivated self-starter, hard-worker, independent, reliable, and I am very honest. I am fairly certain that these are the most primary skills and qualities that you demand from your next manager.

I am currently a student in the Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) program at University of Phoenix and I will be graduating on July 14, 2012. My educational background also includes three years’ of earned credits at the University of NC at Charlotte and prior certification as an Emergency Medical Technician through studies at Central Piedmont Community College.

Your search ends with me…I am the perfect candidate for your management position! Thank you in advance for your time and attention to my enclosed resume. In particular, I would appreciate it if you would please give thorough attention to my experience at Travelers Insurance to achieve an idea about my qualifications for your position and, afterwards, I would be delighted and honored if you would contact me soon for an interview.

Sincerely,

Bridgett C. Hurst
