WORK EXPERIENCE
Lifewave, inc.; North Highlands, CA (January 2008 – Present)
-Stroke Volume Monitoring
Developed algorithm in MATLAB to detect relative changes in stroke volume, heart rate and respiratory rate
Designed schematics and PCB layouts for many sensor prototypes; Assembled, tested and calibrated electronics
Implemented algorithm on an embedded processor to be used for sensor prototypes
-CPR pulse monitoring
Created algorithm in MATLAB to detect the presence or absence of a palpable carotid pulse to 95% sensitivity
Algorithm was tested on sensor data from an animal model
-Fetal Monitoring for Heart Rate and Gross Movement
Modeled algorithm in MATLAB to detect fetal heart rate in fetuses in their third trimester
-Protoype enhancements
Designed pulse generator circuits to improve shape and amplitude of RF pulses
Made improvements to receiver circuit design to improve SNR and sensitivity
Implemented different PCB design techniques to reduce the level of ground bounce of the entire system
Biophotonics and Optical Radiology Laboratory at Columbia University; New York, NY (January 2006 – May 2007)
-Digital Optical Imaging System for Detection of Breast Cancer
Designed a LABVIEW GUI for data acquisition cards to access, send and receive data to system’s DSP
Designed schematic and PCB for the glue logic of the data acquisition and optical control
Created board layouts for data acquisition card connection to instrument and glue logic board
-Digital Optical Imaging System for Tomography of the Finger and Small Animals
Troubleshooting for laser modulation, optical switch logic, laser driver configuration, and power distribution
Constructed several different boards and verified boards functionality
