Electronic & Reliability Engineering - Project & Production Management
I am an engineering professional with a focus on supporting the development, administration, implementation, monitoring, and improvement of product reliability programs and initiatives with a Six Sigma Black Belt certification. Leverage in-depth background of electronic component testing performed in accordance with MIL-STD’s, EIA’s, SAE’s specifications. Estimate capital costs and engineering personnel needs, coordinate use of contractors and personnel, manage project budgets. Capitalize on critical thinking and problem solving, engineering failure analysis knowledge, innovative solutions to drive streamlined testing and cost savings. A role in planning, build and performance tests on systems and components to determine operability, quality, performance, and suitability.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Contech Research, Inc. – Attleboro, MA 1989 to 2010
Independent test facility offering wide range of services in the field of electronic testing and product evaluation, with a specialization in the technology of interconnection.
Test Engineer / Project Manager (2004 to 2010)
Promoted to oversee planning, scheduling, execution, and coordination of the technical and management aspects for test programs, including using both military and commercial standards.
• Met customer product testing requirements by establishing budgetary quotation and preparing project plan spanning schedules and milestones for electrical, mechanical, and environmental processes.
• Constant communications and with all information referred to the test sponsor and government agencies as contracted.
• Obtained testing consensus and closed out projects by generating final test report with governmental approval of QAR/DCMA with complete retention of processes, procedures and results.
• Significantly increased efficiency and decreased equipment setup time, create new processes and ideas that enable effectiveness and efficiency in the organization.
• Research and develop company practices in support of process improvement, conduct high level cost/benefit analysis for innovation & improvement initiatives, employ skills to improve processes, resolve conflicts.
• Created and updated detailed test procedures based on the methodology of performing labeled in customized test process as part of the manufacturing environment and based on requirements outlined in test sponsors specifications.
• Monitor test set up and validate test equipment, software, and fixtures for products, troubleshoot, repair and modifies Embedded systems and components as appropriate.
Software Application Engineering (1998 to 2004)
Promoted to oversee network design, implementation, organization, and troubleshooting. Monitored communication protocols, supported hardware and software also maintained data integrity and availability in a Microsoft Windows - office environment.
• Collaborated with staff to identify, prioritize innovations, and improve process based on customer quality, support and institute improvement changes.
• Increased productivity by implementing modular connectivity of computers, enhanced technician understanding of tools through interactive workshops and training.
• Developed innovative, timesaving, data acquisition using Labview, Visual Basic, C++ with SCADA data acquisition system with RS232 and/or IEEE488 communications.
• Working within the principles of power systems, cabling systems, electrical equipment, power system protection and coordination, instruments and meters, operational procedures, and electrical utilization systems.
• Generated macros for (SPC) statistical process control of data and perform analyses using Six Sigma, identify patterns, trends and/or additional abnormalities.
• Validate data using data collection system based on set quality goals, and provide enhancements through procedural, mechanical or automation software process.
Test Technician (1989 to 1998)
Prepared and monitored schedules for testing of military and commercial components or assemblies.
• Played a key role in increasing test lab size and consolidating equipment location by defragmentation of test facility and resources.
• Maintained test log to track defective components, date, temperature, humidity, serial number, and model number.
• Introduced widespread time saving programs as a result of installation of computer network.
• Preformed product reliability, quality and First Article testing including HASS, ESS and FMEA.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting PLC, PID controller programs including AC and DC motors.
