1. For nearly more than seven years working at Saipem as Head of Electrical Department and involved in managing various activity related to Engineering & Project for Power Plant, FPSO, Crude Oil Terminal, Gas Station, LNG Terminal Projects. Planning for Leased FPSO Project. Interaction and co-ordination with various other disciplines at Chennai as well as at Head office at Milan and Paris office.

Following activities are being handled:

• Development of technically skilled manpower with multinational and multi linguistic recruitment at both Chennai & Sharjah offices.

• Contract review and Proposal preparation, Pricing Strategy, Cost estimation from basics.

2. Over period of 22 years in Projects & Development India Ltd., come across all the electrical aspect and requirement of a continuous process & hazardous plant.

3. For a period of over 3 years in 210 MW Thermal Power Plant of Maharashtra State Electricity Board at Deepnagar Thermal Power Station. He has worked as site inspection and supervision work for all electrical and control equipment.

Detail of Work Experience:

1. Design Engineering

Techno-economic analysis considering present and future requirements, if any, to arrive at the optimum design.

Short circuit calculation using POWERTOOLS

Design of Electrical Power Distribution system based on national and international standards and good engineering practices.

Selection of electrical equipment for hazardous areas.

Use of Smart Plant Electrical for following :

Preparation of electrical load list

Preparation of Single Line Distribution diagram and Protection and Metering Schemes.

Preparation of Schematic diagrams for incoming feeders, bus coupler feeders, outgoing feeders, transformer, heaters, control circuit feeders, changeover schemes utilising most suitable and compatible components.

Preparation of cable schedule and cable cutting schedule.

Preparation of material schedule / take off.

Lighting Design using Software AGI32 for following :

Preparation of Layout drawings viz. equipment layout, cable rack and cable trench layout, Power layout, Lighting layout, earthing layout, Lightning protection layout etc.

Preparation of civil scope drawings related to electrical equipment.

Preparation of terminal connection and interconnection diagrams.

Co-ordination of various relays in upstream/ downstream distribution system and selection of their setting.

Preparation of erection sketches.

Preparation of specifications for equipment like H.V. Switch Boards, Power & Lighting Transformers, D.G. sets, M.V. & L.V. PDS Model Review for Raceway and Electrical Equipment

Supervision and co-ordination of erection, testing and commissioning activities at site.

Preparation of man-hour and cost estimates, design philosophy, brief specification of equipments etc. for electrical system for tendering jobs.

Evaluation of vendors for their ability to execute the jobs similar to that required for specific projects and preparation of vendor list for different equipment and packages.

Identifying potential risks in operation and maintenance of plants manufacturing, processing, transporting and storing hazardous flammable chemicals and petroleum products.

2. Inspection & Expediting

Stage and final Inspection and testing of following electrical Equipment at manufacturer premises including expediting and progress reporting and monitoring of various supplies:

6.6 KV / 4 MW Boiler Feed Pump Motors, 1200 KW ID & FD Fan Motors.

Controls & Instrument Testing for 210 MW Generator and Boiler.

4. Electrical Safety Audit

Experience of Electrical safety Audit of Hazardous Plants such as LPG Bottling Plants, Oil Terminals and Depots, Aviation Fuel Station, Petroleum Refineries and Lube Plants.
