HR/Labor Relations Analyst (2001 – Present)
Manage a broad range of HR/Labor Relations functions including wage analysis/administration, HRIS database administration, HR policy development and staff/training development programs.
Outcomes:
• Jointly developed and administered company's first Labor Relations contract system that provides the labor relations management team with a collective bargaining agreement repository that contains historical and current documentation. This system is also used as a tool during collective bargaining to exchange proposals with the union. I served as project manager to implement this internet based tool. Conducted full needs analysis and RFP for a $250K technological solution.
• CBA Administration & Coordination of 380 collective bargaining agreements that cover 22,000 union employees. Includes proper administration of economic modifications in the Agreements. Analyze and submit modifications to SAP Systems Team and audit updates to ensure accuracy. Monitor/audit Taft/Hartley H&W/Pension contributions.
• Direct support to Labor Relations Management through negotiation preparation and research support. Integration of bankruptcy documentation into CBAs to create final documents for ease of administration post-bankruptcy. Preparation of cost analysis for negotiation preparation, and implementation of recommended bargaining settlements.
• Direct support to Vice President, Labor Relations by gathering research of analytical components of the CBA landscape to prepare for executive board presentations. Provided comprehensive data of union restrictions and opportunities to prepare for policy development and enhanced staffing/training proposals to executive board members. Acted as supporting spokesperson at presentations.
• Liason to Corporate Benefits, Payroll and Key HR Leadership through technical communications reporting CBA modifications to Finance Directors. Maintain Labor Contract System to make new documents available to Legal and Field HR. Conduct research and analysis on an ad hoc basis as requested by HR Executive Leadership. Drive change management initiatives defined by internal/external opportunities and threats.
