JOB DESCRIPTION
• Provide strategic and technical support to the Director, Economic Growth in the planning, designing and implementation of Agriculture and livelihood activities
• Provide support and guidance, capacity to the partners in coordinating and directing the seed production activities
• Create/Strengthen producer groups, provide training and technical assistance specially on quality seed
• Linkage building among partners, NGO’s, cooperative associations, government stakeholder, marketing networks & development, and producer groups working in this program
• Work closely with assist from the Director, Economic Growth, Agricultural Specialist, Marketing Specialists and stakeholders (internal & external) and all technical component to ensure the PROSHAR program is on track with its annual work plan is maximizing impact
• Conduct demonstration program of Seed Production, Processing and Preservation of HYV and Hybrid seeds of different crops (Rice, Wheat, Maize, Oil seed, Pulse seed, Fruits, Spices, Watermelon and Vegetables etc.)
• Provide training and hands-on demonstrations to staff and beneficiaries
• Develop training materials on seed production, processing, marketing and seed business and conduct training
• Facilitate program development through conceptualization, design, proposal and program initiation on Agricultural & other component
