Linda Fiets
Overview
My background is well-rounded in the administrative, sales, training and customer service areas. By choice, I am currently employed as administrative assistant through various temporary staffing agencies. In a recent position, I was employed as a part-time Verizon Wireless customer service rep in a retail store. Prior to that, I worked as an administrative assistant for a Los Angeles music industry trade publication for a total of over 8 years. The nature of my job required me to work productively under strict, inflexible deadlines in a bi-weekly production cycle. Before moving to Los Angeles, I worked in various capacities in the airline industry, ranging from ticket/customer service rep to training instructor to management. I'm “computer-savvy” with a broad knowledge of computer software applications/hardware troubleshooting and office procedures, and am extremely organized and meticulous about detail.
Major Accomplishments
In my position at Music Connection magazine, I quadrupled the number of ads running in my area of a music trade magazine and doubled the number of advertisers who consistently place ads in every issue.
As head of the warehouse and uniform departments for America West Airlines in Las Vegas, I completely organized and computerized both departments. When I first took over the job, everything was in piles in the warehouse, unlabeled and disorganized. One month later, I'd had shelves built and everything was organized with labels and part numbers and entered into the computer. At the time, the warehouse served 18 departments and the uniform area clothed 1500 employees. I was in charge of both departments and had no one to help me, thus the need for absolute organization!
While working at a start-up airline in Denver in the Revenue Accounting department, I was able to see first-hand how the lack of properly trained employees was costing the company hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue losses. I saw a need for a training program and, over the following six months, wrote a basic ticketing and revenue accounting manual during my non-working hours. Upon completion of the manual, I flew to New York, Washington D.C., San Francisco and Chicago and conducted training sessions on my own time. It was so successful that the company asked me to hold training sessions at the Denver station during working hours. When the company was in buyout negotiations, I was offered a position as the training department director. I didn't accept the position because it would have required moving to Florida.

Letter of Recommendation
To Whom It May Concern:
Linda Fiets worked for my company, Music Connection, Inc., for a total of 8 years, first in the early 1990's for 1 1/2 years and from January 1999 until August 2005 for 6 1/2 years. Linda was responsible for many activities in our company ranging from handling heavy phones, filing, ordering and keeping track of supplies, writing letters and correspondence to customers, updating our website, and just being an overall assistant to myself and my business partner who own the business.
Linda was always articulate and very personable, not only to our customer base, but also interacted extremely well with the other 10 employees in our company. She was reliable and had a strong attendance
record as well. I highly recommend Linda for future employment, and would welcome a phone call if further information is needed.
Sincerely,
Eric Bettelli
