Tampa International Airport Assistant Project Manager Performed Project Management duties for airside terminal building. Project was a three story building consisting of structural steel, frame, heavy PPG glazed curtain wall exterior, cast in place concrete beams, precast panels, with slab on grade and metal deck. I managed the shop drawings, RFI's, schedule, payroll punch list and closeout.

I provided cost estimates for the excavation, backfill, site fill, pavement and base, pavement stripping, parking immunities, piles and pile caps, concrete foundations, concrete slabs on and above grade, landscaping and fencing.

I handled all the RFI’s Schedules, Shop Drawings, Meetings, Daily Reports, Pay Applications, Change Orders, and coordination between the Design Engineers and Contractor as this was a CM at Risk contract with a Maximum GMP. The project included a shared cost savings for both the Owner and the Contractor for valued engineering efforts throughout the construction process and was portion of the Port of
Miami 2020 Re-Development Program valued at $280MM.

General Telephone, Inc. Project Manager Worked with our estimating department perform the initial bid package for the project. I later performed the project manager duties on site for the construction of the 8 story commercial telephone switching. The superintendent and I prepared the construction schedule and I checked all shop drawings, prepared the purchase orders, scheduled the material deliveries, prepared and approved all the payment applications, and material invoices, prepared the payroll time sheets, scheduled the testing laboratories and helped scheduled the subcontractors. This project was a two way column and 8"slab construction with each floor consisting of approximately 800 CYD. of concrete. The exterior of the building consisted of 6" precast panels with a spandrel band.

The Port Engineer and I reviewed the design and bid package in three phases (50%, 75% and 90%) prior to going out for public bid. The warehouse was a pre-engineered metal building with an 8" Post-Tensioned slab, office area, loading dock for rail and trucking and a solid 8" masonry wall perimeter 5'-0" above finish floor. The warehouse was a portion of a new 8 acre backland development and new 1000 LF wharf with crane and RR access.

Tampa Port Authority Project Manager During my 11 year tenure at the Tampa Port Authority, I consistently co-worked with the Port Engineer and Asst. Port Engineer developing, scope, budget estimates, estimates and design packages for several road improvements throughout the Port. These projects included new access roads, repairs to existing roads, drainage, lighting, water, storm water retention and treatment and backland developments. The majority of the projects were congested as the Port was a 24/7 facility and the largest bulk Port in the State of Florida with RR and Bunkering facilities. Projects included new RR extensions and crossings as well as repairs throughout the Port.

These projects consisted of heavy concrete structures with an average of 800 PSF loading, berthing and vessel loads, fendering and mooring bollards. The Port utilized basically three types of construction which consisted of heavy concrete pile supported structures, sheet pile and tie back construction and heavy concrete pile supported breasting structures. Many projects included RR access, dredging, repairs to existing roads, drainage, lighting, water, storm water retention treatment and backland developments as well as repairs to existing facilities.

During my 11 year tenure at the Tampa Port Authority, I consistently co-worked with the Port Engineer and Asst. Port Engineer developing, scope, budget estimates, estimates, estimates and design packages for several maintenance dredging and dredging events. I worked closely with the Port surveying and environmental departments to insure the local, state, permitting agencies and the ACOE requirements were adhered to. The dredging events included first cut dredging and maintenance dredging by environmental clam bucket dredging and cutter head dredging for 98 active private and Port berthing facilities. The Port maintained two dredge disposal islands in the bay under the ACOE jurisdiction and required maintenance by the Tampa Port Authority and ACOE. The majorities of the dredging events were maintenance dredging of the Ports berthing facilities and were performed on an average every two year cycles, based on a priority listing. The bid packages were hard bid with quantities established by the Port surveying department and included provisions for rubbish disposal, contaminated spoils disposal etc... The permit requirements required turbidity testing and testing for metals which was performed by an independent certified testing lab. I managed dredge contracts with Great Lakes Dock and Dredge, Inc., Interbay Marine, Inc. and Misener Marine Construction, Inc.

I recently performed the maintenance dredging and facilities relocation for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines at the Port of Bayonne, NJ. I issued a contract on Chase's behalf for the dredging of approximately 3000 CYD to Don John Marine, Inc. for the dredging and disposal of the dredge spoils at a class 2 facility. The project also consisted of relocating RCCL's existing debarking and embarking facilities to the Northern end of the Wharf.

Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Assistant Superintendent November 2008 thru March 2009
This was a design build project by RCCL and the Jamaica Port Authority in Falmouth, Jamaica. The project consisted of 2MM cyd of first cut dredging through the existing reef, a 2,500 LF of sheet pile tie back wall system, live coral, sea urgent, sea grasses and mangrove relocation, new infrastructure, backlands development, access road, utilities, shops, stores, parking and emergency support facilities. The project was permitted under the NEPA permit guidelines and monitored by the local authorities division. The project did not proceed under Chase CM, Inc. direction and was re-assigned to a development group by the Jamaican Government.
