Head Campaign Manager “Dear Michelle” Campaign 1/2009 – 5/2009

• Coordinated the successful student-led, marketing and grass roots campaign resulting in the recruitment First Lady Michelle Obama as keynote speaker for the university’s inaugural commencement ceremony.

Undergraduate Research Assistant Center for Computational Biology 6/2008 – 8/2009

• Implemented problem-solving skills to investigate the diffusion of water molecules in carbon nanotubes through the use of Molecular Dynamics simulating a filtration system deriving insight on how this system can be used in water desalination.

• Learned and applied the techniques of modeling biologically significant systems using Molecular Dynamics, a computer program that simulates biological molecules and presented research at the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign.

Intern Alliance for Community Research & Development 5/2007– 1/2008

• Conducted research on public health employers in the Merced County area using surveys to collect data on the relationship between public health employers and the Merced community.

• Focused on developing community outreach and education to further improve community health.
