Work History

July 1989- April 1992

Norris Flooring

Augusta, ME

At Norris flooring I was a flooring installer/ prep man. Some of my duties were prepping,

tear-out, and installing. I installed ceramic tile, VCT tile, linoleum, carpet, base, etc. I did residential and commercial jobs.

April 1992- September 1992

Jerry Childs & Sons Builders

Palermo,ME

At J.A. Childs & Sons I was a carpenter. I built residential houses, garages, fencing, decks, etc. I was on a crew that did framing to finishwork. We did all the framing, roofing, siding, windows, doors, garages, and decks.

September 1992- July 1999

Glidden Construction & Foundations

Palermo, ME

At Glidden Construction I did concrete and carpentry work. During the summer we would do foundation and slab work. I was mostly on the foundation crew. We used steel/ply forms.

Our jobs were mainly residential concrete work. I would set, square, grade, pour, trowel, and

strip the foundations and footings. I would also do the same on slabs and floors.

During some winters we would build houses, additions, garages, decks, and remodel houses.

I did the same carpentry jobs here as I did for J.A.Childs & Sons.

July 1999- May 2000

H.E. Sargeant & Co.

Stillwater, ME

At H.E. Sargeant I was a form carpenter. We did Commercial and Industrial construction. We built the new prision in Warren, ME. I did mostly concrete related work. I did rebar work (Rod Busting), form work, custom form work, along with pouring the concrete and finishing it. I also did thrust blocks, run Ground Thawing Equipment, set steel door frames, installed fire extinguishing equipment, winterization panels, etc.

May 2000- December 2006

Glidden Construction & Foundations

Palermo, ME

When I returned to Glidden Construction I was a Foreman. I did the same things as before, but also was in charge of a crew. As a Foreman I was responsible for meeting with the Contractor or Home Owner to go over the job. I would also order all materials, make sure we had all tools and hardware for the job, and assemble the crew. I would do a total check to make sure all bond outs, windows, steps, anchor bolts / straps, rebar, knockouts, etc. were installed properly and in the proper places.

I also ran the cranetrucks on the jobsite. I also ran a skidsteer, compactor, backhoe, and excavator when I had too.

During the Winter months we did carpentry again, building from start to finish.

November 2007 - November 2009

Patio Enclosures

Hummelstown, PA

At Patio Enclosures I was a Carpenter. We installed custom sunrooms, built decks, installed awnings, and installed replacement vinyl windows. I was laid off in November due to lack of work.

Education

Attended China Elementary School in China, ME, from K-8, graduating 8th grade in 1985.

Attended Erskine Academy in South China, ME, from 9-12 grade, graduating in 1989.

During my Senior year, I attended Capital Area Regional Vocational Center. I took an Electrical Course and obtained an Electricians Helpers Licence when I graduated.
