Although my title was Imports and Collections Manager I actually handled four different departments for the company. For imports I handled everything from the time the imports left overseas until they arrived to the client here in the US. This included dealing with the overseas agent and the client here in the states. I handled the customs clearance of the shipment and then having the shipment picked up from the ports and delivered to our warehouse. I then handled having the shipment delivered to the client. I handled the dispatching of our delivery drivers as well. This included setting up their routes and their expenses for the trips. Our drivers delivered shipments to our clients up and down the East Coast and as far over as Texas and up the central states. I dispatched for two full time drivers and three part time drivers as well as handling trucking requests for our export department. I handled all billing for the imports department which included billing to the overseas agents as well as to the clients. I handled all collections for our imports and exports department which included collecting from our overseas agents for shipments already completed as well as billing clients for any customs exam fees and/or port charges. The final area I handled was overseeing the warehouse and its employees to make sure that the warehouse ran smoothly as well as making sure the shipments moved in and out as they should. Owner/operator, Perfection Painting 2005-2006
