ENGINE HARDWARE FINALISATION FOR MEETING US TIER 4 EMISSION NORMS

Selection of the cylinder head swirl number which gives better nox to soot tradeoff after testing different cylinder head swirl numbers

Injectors finalistion after performing trails on different Injector HTF, cone angle and the no of holes.

Egr valve (pneumatic and electrical) selection and their calibration for the required egr rates at different loads and speeds.

Turbocharger selection for the required Air fuel ratio and better sfc after testing different makes of the turbochargers.

COMBUSTION DEVELOPMENT OF 55-70 HP ENGINE RANGE

Engine calibration using Inca software which involves calibration of Rail pressure,

Main injection timing, Pilot & Post injection, Egr & Drivability maps.

Selection of optimum main injection timing and rail pressure to meet the 8 mode NRSC & Hot NRTC cycles.

Application of the correction factors to avoid cold exhaust emissions from engines.

AFTER TREATMENT SELECTION

Testing of various after treatment devices like Diesel oxidization catalyst and particle oxidization catalyst and the selection of the same for meeting US tier 4 emission norms.

TREMO SHOCK CRDI ENGINE (70 HP) DURABILITY OBSERVATION

The various parameters of the engine like smoke, sfc, power, torque, rail pressure, main injection quantity are monitored during the cycle time of 500 hrs.

FIELD TESTING OF CRDI TRACTOR

Vehicle calibration which involves low idle, high idle governing, drivability finalization

For ploughing,cultivator, rotavator operations.
