Overview - Directing business development activities for three distinct business verticals utilizing multi-site manufacturing capabilities. Growth initiatives driven in concert with an operations strategy managing through consolidation of the manufacturing footprint. Provide coaching and guidance to sales team in key industries served including wind power, solar, fluid handling, oil & gas, petro-chemical, railway, aerospace, mining and other general industrial.

Key Repsonsibilities:

• Responsible for Electrical Carbon, Specialty Carbon and Seal & Bearing business verticals totaling $160.0m in revenue.

• Manage a 25 member department consisting of Sales Manager’s, Field Sales Personnel, Application Engineers, Lab Technicians, Customer Service and Independent Contract Representatives.

• Lead global team coordination of business verticals with my peers in EMA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) & Asia.

• Lead business operational excellence program for continuous improvement initiatives with both, customers and internal operations toward providing the “best value proposition” offering.

• Jointly manage with Financial Controller financial planning for P&L & budgets.

• Possess knowledge of marketplace dynamics and ability to maneuver within large customer organizations toward forming key strategic alliances and/or partnerships.

Key Accomplishments:

• Implemented business strategy for electrical carbon business as we became “number 1” marketplace supplier for 16 years running. An $80.0m vertical.

• Implemented “turn around” commercial staff reorganization and built a new corporate culture in the mechanical carbon seal face business to strengthen the business while working through a plant consolidation program. Achieved a $70.0m vertical with a number 1 and/or 2 market position.

• Grew specialty carbon vertical 30% over last 3 years through obtaining multi-year contracts and leading a cross functional team through a $1.9m capital project expansion.

An $8.0m vertical with a number 2 market position.

• Built a strong brand market positioning base to allow for achievement of positive price pass through outside of inflation expectations year on year.

• Implemented matrix management / cross functional teams for improved global alignment and communications. Global focus toward global customers.

• Implemented consistent business process for field sales forecasting & budgeting process.

• Implemented new CRM package, Microsoft Dynamics.

• Negotiated/signed multiple long term contracts with large OEM customers. $50.0m in total revenue.

• Implemented market positioning of multiple brands within our product portfolio. An accomplishment not to lose “brand equity” based on the purchase/consolidation of single entity companies into Morgan AM&T.

• Implemented channel management strategy utilizing direct sales personnel plus 3rd party distribution to improve market share gains of 10% plus in select market segments.

• Mentoring of young future potential business leaders hired within the organization and having them now enjoy key positions within the company.

September 2003 – May 2006 Business Director, Electrical Traction & OEM - Americas

Responsibility included rail traction business growth in Mexico and South America leveraging our OEM customer approvals and relationships along with our sole source OEM product approvals.

• Increased revenue growth in Mexico $500k through railroad contract management programs.

• Increased revenue growth in Brazil $1.1m utilizing a combination of local content supply in conjunction with a sister manufacturing satellite facility and OEM brand recognition.

• Implemented an organization structure for the above achievements to become self sustaining so they can be transitioned within their specific regions of personnel.
