OBJECTIVE: Seeking a challenging position with emphasis on Mechanical Engineering.

EDUCATION

Master in Mechanical Engineering [Jan 2009 – Dec 2010] GPA: 3.65/4.0

San Jose State University

Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering [July 2004 - June 2008] GPA: 3.79/4.0

Charotar Institute of Technology, Gujarat University, India.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Research Assistant: [Jan 10 - July 10]

Dr. Fred Barez, Chairman of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department,

San Jose State University.

Developing solar battery charger with one axis and universal solar panel using automatic sun tracker mechanism. The entire assembly and testing will be done at the end. The Project is to use sun power in order to produce electrical energy.

Cad Operator: [June 07 – May 08]

Tecso Technology Solution (SmardCAD Software Pvt. Ltd.), India.

Created assembly drawings, including bills of materials and detail drawings, for the design of stabilizer arm of rail road loader. Redesigned existing stabilizer arm and created the finite element analysis for optimized stabilizer arm. Utilized Pro- Engineer Wildfire 3.00 and ANSYS.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Drafting Tools: Solid Works, Auto Cad, Pro/ ENGINEER 2001 to Wildfire, NX-6(Unigraphics)

Analysis Tools: Pro/MECHANICA, ANSYS, Solid Works

Packages: MS Office

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

DESIGN:

Comparison of Arch Bridge Designs for Minimum Material: Compare three designs of arch bridge with different cross sections of arch rib and different hanger arrangements and perform complete static analysis and dynamic frequency analysis of three structures and provided structure with best performance and minimum material usage. Utilized: Solid Works 2009.

Angle Grinder: Designed motor operated angle grinder and performed finite element analysis of critical parts. Motion analysis, thermal analysis and drop test was also performed. Also performed stress analysis of optimized angel grinder. Utilized Pro-Engineer 4.00 and Solid Works (Cosmos works and Cosmos motion).

Design and Analyze a Mono shock Regular Swing arm Rear Suspension for Complete Static Analysis and Optimization for Lowest Mass: Designed swing arm rear suspension and performed complete finite element analysis under applied load condition. Then run sensitivity study and optimized for lowest mass. Utilized Pro-Engineer 4.00 and Pro-Mechanica

Finite Element Analysis of Stabilizer Arm of an Industrial Rail-Road Loader: Design and analyzed stabilizer arm for different environments (load conditions) and also analyzed for critical working condition. Optimized that arm for reduced weight. Utilized Pro-Engineer 3.00 and ANSYS.

Can Crusher: Designed hand operated can crusher and performed finite element analysis for 20N load. Motion analysis was also performed. Utilized Pro-Engineer 4.00 and Solid Works (Cosmos works and Cosmos motion).

Harley Davidson Bike Wheel: Created wheel designs for lighter weight and more stiffness. The primary goal was to minimizing the extra weight by optimizing the design. Three new designs with the help of AutoCAD, Solid Works and did finite element analysis with help of Solid Works.

SOLAR ENGINEERING:

Design Photovoltaic Equipment: Designed a photovoltaic equipment mainly solar panel for a house based on available resources. Calculated solar radiation and energy generation for three different types of designs. And analyzed them on the basis of efficiency and cost requirement.

THERMAL ENGINEERING:

Electronics Cooling for LED lightening System: Thermal Performance of the LED lighting system that will be used as a flood light on a car/truck has been calculated. For two array of LED lights (18 LED) , calculated optimized LED spacing within overall system size constrained for maximum luminosity flood lamp with meeting thermal guidelines provided by the problem.

ELECTRONICS PACKAGING:

Electro Thermal Interface Material: Completed the project on thermal interface materials which are used to fill up the micro gapes between the different components on the PCBs.

ROBOTICS:

Robotic Arm: Presented a working model of Robotic Arm at national level symposium held at our collage. Utilized gear drive for the moment of arm and used pulley drive for the movement of the base.

The base was operated by the motor.

ACTIVITIES

Active member of ASME, Indian Student Organization at San Jose.

Active member of Hindu Yuva Organization at San Jose.

Moderator of Technical Fiesta COGNIZANCE’06, COGNIZANCE’07.

Professional references are available upon request, Willing to relocate Anywhere in U.S.A
