I have nearly a year of experience as a welder/fabricator and four months of vocational schooling for welding. I necessitate work and am eager to learn more about my particular trade. I am willing to travel and work any shift as long as I have job security and a moderately steady work load.
Work Experience
Iron Worker
Southeast Railing Company
Metals and Minerals
Canton, MA US
June 2011 -
April 2012
During my time with Southeast Railing I learned how to work with metal seccuessfully and quickly without accidents or loss of time/money. I was trained on a MIG machine and took every oppurtunity to practice SMAW. I also installed fabbed products.I would work between the shop and anywhere in New England our company had a contract. We as a company handled massive residential jobs, producing rails for entire apartment complexes and some structural supports as well. I was often tasked with delivering or picking up large ammounts of metal, in various stages of being fabricated and painted/galvanized, and learned how to securely fasten even oddly shaped loads of metal to a flatbed. I learned quickly how to complete any task involved including measuring and cutting accurately, working on a bench and field-fabrication. I was laid off because work slowed down and the company could not afford to keep a few employees, myself included.
