Experience:
I have volunteer work experience for the American Red Cross for Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital in the Naval dental clinic under a licensed navy dentist professional. I also, graduated from a regionally accredited Dental Assistant program from Penn Foster Career School. I have enjoyed this job very much and is pursuing my career as a dental assistant for my future circumstances. Some responsibilities included the following with some expanded functions as a DA II:
- Prepared all patients for dental exams and procedures by providing a clean, sterile dental office and instruments.
- Responsible for taking and developing all x-rays.
- Mixed alginates and all cements and prepared trays for impressions.
- Sterilized and disinfected all instruments and equipment.
- Made appointments, accepted and processed payments, kept necessary filing records and recorded all information into computer system and patient charts.
