The three words that describe me are: Organized, Capable, Leader. As a Production Supervisor working to improve the process, I organized the production floor and put into place SOPs that saved my previous employer over 180k in missed revenues in one year alone. On a Lean project using the 5-S standards, I was able to cut waste and save over 38k. That SOP is now used company wide in 7 facilities. I am well-versed in the processes of shipping, receiving and distribution. I worked closely with all department managers to meet shipping requirements, ensuring customer orders were filled correctly, checking for accuracy and then ship them domestic and internationally. While in the food industry, I have worked closely with the USDA, FDA and Military on compliance issues. I am capable of managing several production lines simultaneously. I lead by example through training, coaching and mentoring and take pride in doing a job well. I can be a great asset to your team.
A few of my other accomplishments include:
*Maintained 5-S Standards and reports, wrote Production Flow Charts, Iso manuals and instituted programs for certification
*Led training workshops in safety and QC, implemented continual improvement programs, budgeted for multiple departments.
*Warehouse set-up and inventory control using 5-S and Iso methods
*Initiated a continual training program that led to higher motivation and increased productivity
*Increased productivity in my department as well as shipping and receiving,
*Wrote and implemented the Quality Control guidelines and procedures for both flat sheet and finished product.
I am a hands-on working manager. I possess over 16 years in leadership roles in Warehouse and Manufacturing as well as knowledge of ISO 9000 Series, Total Quality Management and the Sigma System (SPC). I also understand the importance of positive motivation, inventory/quality control and troubleshooting many different areas. I am seeking a full-time position where I can utilize my talent to its fullest. In the interim, I keep my skills sharp and up to date with schooling and pertinent temporary positions. I believe that through hard work and determination, anything is possible. You can reach me at 509-***-****.
Sincerely,
Bill A. Penner
