Sold Search Engine Optimization, Online Reputation Management and Web Design packages to commercial accounts as an independent contracted sales executive. One of the owners is a personal friend of mine and is co-author of an SEO book written for real estate marketing. Online Real Estate Marketing Book, was listed in the top 20 technical books for 2010 on amazon.com and can still be purchased on amazon’s website. Duties were to perform walk-in cold calls, phone cold calls, URL analysis, report back to the prospect with information such as overall website score, MOZ Rank, number of inbound links, Metadata, Google Indexed pages, social media scores, (Twitter Grade), and other pertinent information valuable to SEO. I would then put together a proposal for the prospect matching up which of our plans I felt they would benefit from most. This knowledge was ascertained form listening to their concerns, their own expertise in pointing out what was most important to their unique business in regards to increasing revenues and how best to utilize those methods on their firm’s website. Once a plan was implemented for for the client I would meet with them each month to go over statistics for website traffic. We paid great attention to which clicks were converting into clients for them and the reasons they were converting. Optimization Advertising, LLC focused primarily on organic SEO and to a lesser extent pay-per-click.

Oversaw a book of business worth 4.5 million and was involved in contact with current clients, producing new business, writing all sales letters/e-mails, met personally with clients and prospects, completed applications and submitted new business proposals to companies and prospects, performed corporate and personal financial statement analysis, developed web page designs for the company, was the representative at all association functions for which Orrell & Company was a member of, designed new marketing campaigns, (including e- mail, internet and snail mail), and serviced existing clients.
I made walk-in cold calls to start a relationship with the prospect and focus on who would have the final decision on buying insurance and/or the bond program for each firm. The initial walk-in cold call served to put a face and personality with the business card as well as initial premises evaluation for loss control purposes and to get an overall measure of the prospects quality and potential for becoming a client. It was my experience that by seeing the premises I would many times find exposures that had not been picked up by the incumbent agent either because the current agent had never seen the location themselves or it had been a long period of time since they had which many times resulted in missed changes in operations, ownership, risk class and/or changes in current law that might drastically change the prospect’s needs and/or coverages that should have been implemented.
