Contracts Administrator: Responsibility of contracting for goods and services by performing complex procurement activities as required by the different City departments. Work included, but not limited to, coordinating and issuing City-wide contracts, managing formal and informal solicitations following rules and regulations for local government procurement.
• Prepared solicitation documents for major procurement and contracts; professional and general services, goods, equipment, and for public work construction projects.
• Managed the formalized solicitation process, which included public bid opening and the analysis of the bids received for recommendation of award of contracts.
• Created contract documents and/or purchase orders with approved templates.
• Interpreted purchasing policy, rules and regulations that govern public procurement.
• Managed contracts during the life of the projects for change orders, revisions, amendments, and kept current the applicable certificate of insurance.
• As Administrator for the Purchasing Module of SAP, assisted with on-going training and problem solving, as well as for the integration with other modules of the system.
Buyer: As buyer-on-site purchased and maintained inventory items for the wastewater treatment plant. Years back assisted with the set up of the plant’s inventory system, which included a numbering system and the consolidation of multiple storage sites into a single location.
Storekeeper: Maintained inventory control at the main warehouse which houses most of the supplies and equipment required to maintain the City’s own utilities.
Assistant Storekeeper: Delivery of supplies and equipment from the main warehouse to City departments, as well as inter-office mail carrier.
Accomplishments

• Drafted the plan to covert the insurance certificate paper file to an electronic file in PDF.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with an eye for detail
• Experienced in troubleshooting and support of the procurement module of SAP (MM)
• Familiar with Word, WordPerfect, and Excel
• Self starter with a can do attitude
• Fluent in Spanish; reading and conversational, and basic proficiency in writing.
