At current position, worked together with other personnel at times utilizing specialized equipment and tools to perform the following duties in the Universities’ campus: cleaning and preventive maintenance on equipment and typical construction labor activities which consist of working on air handlers, checking actuators realigning dampers, greasing motors, replacing air filters; test discharge air sensors, check heating and cooling valves, clean chillers, check for refrigerant leaks, clean strainers and re gasket covers; check water tower honeycombs valves and feed water pump; work on work orders, unclogging toilets, sinks and showers. Check room temps making adjustments when necessary; trouble shoot heating and cooling equipment, rooftop units replace compressors, electrical components if needed, add refrigerant to systems adjust cut in and cut out control, clean coils and check operation; replace heat pumps, coil pumps, variable fan box motors and actuators; trouble shoot high and low pressure boilers, adjusting gas pressure, flow switch floats, ignition rods and balance air flow on boilers; daily blow downs checking water level and operation of boiler; work on kitchen equipment: ovens, fryers, walk inn coolers, pizza ovens, cattle steam pots, ice machines and steamers. Inspect assigned tools and equipment checking for proper operation and availability of accessories, check and adjust including observing, correcting and/or reporting problems or hazards, and perform routine minor maintenance for safe operation of tools and equipment. Operate power tools and equipment such as, bobcat, hand drills, fans, generators, snow blowers, power washer and chain saws, multi-meters, refrigeration testing tools gauges, leak detecting electrical testing tools. Utilized a variety of equipment and tools such as basic hand tools, refrigeration tools, Utilize ladders and work platforms to perform duties. Communicate on a regular basis with a supervisor and other personnel through various means to properly conduct, coordinate and carry out assignments. Some duties involving exposure to a variety of operating mechanical equipment and loud noise. Work in all types of weather conditions throughout the facility. Knowledge of basic hand tools and ability to use them in making simple repairs.
