Sr. IT Business Analyst, Pall Life Sciences-Fajardo, P.R. 05/2007 – 04/2012

Support Mapics to SAP Data migration. Develop programs in RPG to extract Mapics information used to load into the new SAP system. Support to different sites, and countries.

o Duties includes: create programs to extract data from Mapics based on the SAP requirement for Modules as such MM, SD, PP.

Support Mapics environments consolidation. Consolidate 14 environments in 1 environment. All company sites will be on one environment.

o Duties includes: create or modify programs that will be used in the new environment, avoid conflict between sites.

Project Manager on Scanning System, for Quality Assurance (QA) and Human Resources departments. For QA to storage product documentation to facilitate the retrieval of the documents that help internal and external audit. For HR to storage Employees warnings.

o Duties includes: Work with a budged, recommends hardware and software, research and hire external resources. Create or review validation protocols such as Risk Assessment, Installation, Qualification, etc. Create standard procedures and provide training to users.

o Accomplishment: Now all documents can be retrieved electronically, quick retrieval of documents.

Project Manager for Labeling System on Medical area. Define requirement, software selection, and system validation following FDA requirements. This project helps to increase label generation performance on packing area. From one PC/Printer the system was changed to 3 new PC/Printers, with capacity to expand to more equipment if required. Something that was no possible before.

o Duties includes: Work with a budged, recommends hardware and software, research and hire external resources. Create or review validation protocols such as Risk Assessment, Installation, Qualification, etc. Create standard procedures and provide training to users.

o Accomplishment: New system is five times faster than previous, and at the same time now packing area have three PCs instead of one.

Support in New Barcode system. Support project manager on development of scripts used in the barcode system. Automation of Mapics inventory transactions using barcode and scanners.

o Duties includes: Review validation protocols, create script programs for the system and provide training to users.

Develop of system programs in RPG, for Mapics software such as:

o Automatic order creation. Help to reduce backorder, creating orders to fill shipping plant raw material inventory.

o Most of the programs were created on RPG, but some were created on VB.NET. These programs were created as a complementary of the system. Those programs allow the user to see quantity open of the orders, and to see which shipments are on the process to be completed.

o Accomplishments: Backorder decrease 45%.

iSeries OS:

o OS software installation, Security administrator, and hardware and software troubleshooting

Overall duties include program system development, software installation on iSeries system that includes operating system, and 3er party software. Also user profile creation, and system administrator troubleshooting. Also analyze and recommends new iSeries systems when the lease of iSeries expire.
