Medical Lab Technician Through time spent in classroom, during practicum, as a Phlebotomist, and Laboratory assistant I have demonstrated abilities to perform use of Laboratory Information System such as Meditec. Use sophisticated lab equipment to perform various analysis of blood and body fluids. Isolate bacteria, parasites and other microorganisms for identification and determine appropriate treatment options. Performing manual differentials and use hematology analyzers like the ABX system to count and identify various blood cells. Test drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment. Interact with patients, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other health professionals to explain test results and answer specific questions.
