HR Manager
Focus on improving culture by reestablishing trust and closing the gap between the Union and Management. Progress was made by consistently and fairly administering the Collective Agreement while handling all grievances beyond step 1. Also, supporting employees, and guiding them through a staff restructure, as well as the elimination of 5 union positions. Responsible for all aspects of recruiting, selection, and hiring. Lead Health and Safety initiatives while gaining the support, trust and respect of employees by being a Co-chair on the JHSC. Lead initiatives to upgrade and modify the Risk Inventory, a master list of all on site risks, while reviewing all incident investigations. Work closely with production to manage succession planning, and to stay ahead of training requirements and recruitment to handle changes in the lines of progression. Create weekly manpower schedule, accommodating requests of over 100 employees while maintaining productions needs.
