I am applying for the Wind Turbine Technician position that your company is seeking; I am qualified for this career with the major I am currently enrolled in at Mitchell Technical Institute, Wind Turbine Technology and will be seeking employment upon graduating in May. I have completed close to 100 hours towards my internship and will be granted my associates degree when my internship is complete (within approx.120 hours). I have acquired experience with motor controls, PLC programming, electrical circuitry and components, hydraulics and mechanics. I have also experienced climbing a 1.5 MW GE turbine, which is part of the Crow Lake wind project in south central South Dakota in which I helped to construct. And am available for any job opening within the company.
Having been part of large scale Construction Companies, I have learned how to be a contributing member of a diverse team. I thrive when faced with challenges and am a very confident problem solver, a respected quality in any line of work. I have proficient knowledge of reading, drawing and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics. I have many certifications under my belt and have worked with various different age groups and ethnicities and have never been disrespectful to the company or personnel.
Participating in team oriented activities such as work and sports, have showed me diversity in many ways. Working together with many people to accomplish a certain task, being part of a team and or being a leader, working fast and efficiently, and learning as quickly as possible are all traits of diversity and I am confident in all of those areas.
