FOREIGN LANGUAGES

o 4 semesters of French at Indiana University: F100, F150, F200 and F250. Teaching focused mainly on proper grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary. French is one of the official languages of Mauritania. Through immersion in the culture and much practice, my conversational French is much improved.

o 164.5 hours of Pulaar classes. Pulaar is a tribal language dominant in southern Mauritania and across the African Sahel. At the end of this language training, I achieved an intermediate-mid level of Pulaar as tested by a certified instructor according to ETS/ACTFL standards.
