Raised standards for incident investigations and submitted formal report deliverables to the Texas Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC).

● Advised senior leadership on regulatory and contract compliance issues. Examples include: legal discovery process for employee internal emails; contingency planning to address emerging medical privacy issues (e.g. electronic medical records); and business license reciprocity between states.

● Provided guidance to staff to ensure the effectiveness of internal privacy/security policies and procedures for more than 1200 employees. Issues include: maintaining IT Security requirements while transitioning a substantial number of staff from working on-site to at-home; data transfers to sub-contractors and state-approved trading partners; and negotiating Business Associate Agreements (BAAs).
