EMPLOYMENT

Boart Longyear Drilling Services June-2008 to June-2009

I was employed as a driller assistant for the operation of an LM-75 core drill in Questa, New Mexico. This operation is overseen by the Chevron Mining Co. This employment required that I leave my home in Utah and travel to New Mexico, where I worked 20-ten hour days followed by 10 days off, two of which were travel days to/from New Mexico. This job entailed receiving Mining Safety Health Association (MSHA) training and specific mine training to core drill underground. I assisted the driller and/or drilled for molybdenum which naturally occurs in the ore in N.M. and is used in the processing of steel and is used as an industrial lubricant. The samples we obtained from depths of 1,700 feet into the earth were used to inform the geologists of the ore content and/or rock formation. I added/subtracted rods to or from the drills configuration to obtain rock samples at desired depths. I repaired the drill and its hydraulic and electric components. I delivered equipment to the drill site from the surface using tractors and forklifts. I maintained housekeeping around the drill site to be in compliance with MSHA regulations. Boart Longyear’s contract with the Chevron Corporation was terminated in January of 2009 and I was subsequently laid off.

Boart Longyear contacted me in April of 2009 and offered me re-employment at the Kennecott Mine, in Utah. I participated in a de-watering program for approximately six weeks when that contract was terminated and I was again laid off.

I was assigned as a cadre in the district courts to represent my reports and the interests of the AP&P. I also authored Probation/Parole, Progress/Violation Reports for hearings at the Board of Pardons. I have some samples of my writing skills (PSI reports and BOP reports and incident reports) available upon request.
